NeoFilm is built and released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) v3.0*

  • The “covered work” based on the Shotcut project uses the same list of free or open-source projects, as by the original code.
  • Modifications: changes have been made to the Shotcut’s source code to make it compatible for the Microsoft Store, along with extensive product guides to help users get the best of the software. Modifications also contains “other separate and independent works”, such as product licensing and user interactions that are not derived from or pertaining to Shotcut.

As specified in section 5 of the GPL v3.0 license, “Inclusion of a covered work in an aggregate does not cause this License to apply to the other parts of the aggregate.” Therefore, source code that are not by their nature extensions of Shotcut, as mentioned above, is not included.
